The Pragmatic Architect
A new site launched for software architects
If you've been wondering why it's been so quiet around here, it's because I've been storing up architect related content for a new site, which I'm pleased to announce, called The Pragmatic Architect. From the welcome note...
On behalf of the team, I'd like to welcome you to The Pragmatic Architect - a new website providing a centralised point of reference for content that's relevant to pragmatic software architects. Our mission is to bring you the latest news, articles and blog entries; providing you with information to help you meet the challenges of today's rapidly changing world of software development.
As an architect myself, I strongly believe that the role of an architect isn't purely technical and I've founded The Pragmatic Architect in an aim to bring together content that reflects this view of what an architect's role entails. In addition to myself, the team includes several other practising architects to contribute commentary, content, news, reviews and articles about technology, process and architecture.
In the meantime, you can subscribe via the RSS or Atom feeds. We hope you enjoy the site.
- Simon Brown, founder of The Pragmatic Architect
Why a new site? I wanted to build up a central resource for aspiring and experienced software architects, at the same time as trying something new. The Pragmatic Architect is run by a small team of architects and I believe that this provides us with some additional benefits over what I could have done under a personal domain. We're still in the early days but everything is up and running. If there's something that you would like to see on the site or you have something that you would like contribute, please feel free to drop us a line. Right, back to Struts and my webapp comparison.
