Daylight savings changes - patch your JRE

(did you know about this?)

The US are changing the dates when daylight savings come into effect and, since the logic for calculating these dates is built-in to the Java runtime, your applications might be affected. Basically, you need to upgrade your Java runtime environment and further details about this can be found at U.S. Daylight Saving Time Changes in 2007.

I know that some organisations are addressing this by pushing out patches and updates to development teams, but I can't help wonder how many will be bitten by these changes because they simply aren't aware of them. The pointy-haired blog also seems to think there isn't much coverage of this. Did you know about it? Does if affect you?

BTW, if you're running Pebble in a US time zone, you'll want to patch your JRE. ;-)
